Using iPads - Jailbreak or other method to control?

I use Fully Kiosk Browser on my Kindles and control it remotely. Works very nicely. I haven’t found anything similar for IOS on iPads? So I thought it might make sense to Jailbreak them and approach it from that angle?

The sort of controls I would like to do remotely - Shut screen on/off, reload apps, etc. If anyone has experience or pointers it would be appreciated. Thanks.

There was some discussion on Fully Kiosk alternatives for iOS in the following thread. I wonder if any of those apps have some way to control what URL is displayed or otherwise interact with the app.
