Weather and the Smart Home

From knowing if you should grab a jacket before you head out to getting notified if the windows were left open and it's going to rain, there's a ton of great use cases for integrating weather into your smart home experience.

Is they’re a way to get the outdoor temperature like a,arthings with sharp tools ? I would like to use it in order to change my ecobee to heat or cool during the night ?

I can’t find this feature

A common approach for using weather data in rules is to get the data from a weather device.

This previously was much more common in SmartThings, but it’s less common to see weather ‘devices’ in SmartThings nowadays.

Instead, a common approach is to get weather data from a service like Open Weather Map or OpenMeteo. Some examples for the former are available here:
