I have created a virtual temperature in SmartThings. I want to save the value of a SharpTools variable into that device. I found that I can save a fixed value (see screen shot below) in the flow of a rule, but I don’t see how to replace that fixed value with the value from a calculated SharpTools variable.

If you already have a SharpTools Variable created, you can use the variable as a command argument value as shown in the Use Variables in Rule Engine > Flow section of the following help article:

finally figured it out. Did not recognize that the Help document included video rather than screen shots. So, I did not see how to switch the input field from manual to variable until I figured that out. Viewing the Help document on my iPad vs my Windows laptop made the difference in recognizing the video was there. Thanks for your help!
