@josh I was making some changes tonight and updating the devices in the Sharptools App in Hubitat and I noticed placeholders showing up so checked from the sharptools side and got this:
Update: Hubitat platform version 2.4.2.128 was released and fixes the blank Hubitat OAuth screen issue.
If you are on a Hubitat version 2.4.2.x prior to the .128 patch release, make sure to upgrade to a newer version!
What model Hubitat and what hub software version?
I’ve seen 2-3 other reports of this, but it’s not clear to me what is the coming factor between those different reports yet. I’m not able to reproduce it on either of my hubs.
More details in my reply to your Hubitat Community thread:
I have resorted to using the ‘Snipping Tool’ and taking screen shots of my dashboards! I could deal with this happening from time to time if Sharptools.io could leave the things name and show as disconnected but since they use Place Holder, I have no idea what was there!!! Hope this gets some likes as an idea.
I am running the same Hubitat version and tested connection on C8Pro and C7 and it is fine. My issue above seems to be related to the way I was adding small batches of devices one after another but it does always complete synchronization and the placeholders go away. See here - Is Oauth authorization down or just me? - #6 by simon4 - 🚧 Developers - Hubitat.
I concur on the placeholder - would be nice if it revealed the device information so if something did go wrong you could see what it was. Similarly Super Tiles and Custom Tiles (?) don’t reveal their name in the tile editor. That would be nice also.
Are you also experiencing the issue where the Hubitat (OAuth) Authorization screen is blank where the categories and list of devices with checkboxes should be?
And are you implying that the issue only started occurring after updating to that particular hub software platform version?
I am seeing that the Hubitat OAuth screen is blank on any of my 4 hubs. What I can tell you is that as long as I don’t go into this screen the new devices are showing up in Sharptools. The major issue is that if you don’t back out of the OAuth screen you will find that all devices are removed from the Hubitat Sharptools list and every tile on Sharptools will now be a place holder. If you add all items back into the Sharptools Hubitat list and DON’T go near the OAuth screen, your devices will come back. Had to learn this the hard way. I have a suspicion that this is a Hubitat update problem not a Sharptools issue.
Can any one here in this form that has the previous version of Hubitat try the OAuth site and let us know if you are having the same issue or not.
I have older versions installed on test hubs and I’m not able to reproduce the issue with these:
C-4 with platform version 2.4.1.177
C-5 with platform version 2.4.1.146
That being said, I only have 3-5 reports of this and it’s not clear to me if it’s just the hub version or some other factor (apps, drivers, etc) that are contributing.
I would recommend continuing the conversion over in the Hubitat Community Thread as the OAuth page that is showing blank is rendered by Hubitat and they’ll have the best resources to troubleshoot it.
