I have switched from SmartThings to Hubitat a few weeks ago. It was a rather painful process, but I think it will be worth it. For the last week (+/-) I’ve been noticing devices on my SharpTools dashboard not showing the same status as the device actually is in. By way of example, this is a snap from my Hubitat devices. It shows Pop Door as “ON”.
Currently I have this one and 2 other devices that are not in Sync with the dashboard. The last 2 times this hapened I was able to re-authorize Hubitat and things went back to normal. I have not yet re-authorized today. I don’t recall ever needing to do this previously.
Thoughts???
EDIT: Adding the other 2 devices:
Basement Steps Lights is OFF, and shows OFF in Hubitat:
I was going to make a new post but then saw this one now.
I have been noticing the same thing. Many devices sync fine but some get missed. In this example, device 1323 gets synced fine while device 1168 does not. Log says everything posted to sharptools.io fine.
I’ve had a handful of reports come in about this today. I’m away from my desk at the moment, but I plan to take a closer look when I’m back.
Thanks! That’s a helpful clue. It sounds like the events are successfully getting posted across to the SharpTools event receiver but for some reason the status isn’t being reflected on your dashboard.
I saw that 1168 had two attributes. Did either of those attributes update or did both not update properly in SharpTools?
Do you have any rules that are triggered by the same events that are not updating as expected on your dashboard? I’m trying to narrow down if something unique to the dashboard status being updated or if it’s also impacting the triggering of rules.
I am not actually sure. It is a valve and a valve only uses the open/closed as far as I know. If I switch it to a switch tile, it seems to think it is off. So I guess that attribute worked fine.
Nothing with the exact same trigger that I can think of. Front Porch Lights is triggered 65 minutes before sunrise and Pop Door is triggered at Sunrise.
Yesterday I played with this a bit. I could turn lights ON using Hubitat and it made no difference on the SharpTools dashboard. Occasionally I would get the triangle with exclamation mark on the dashboard if I tried to turn them on from the dashboard instead of Hubitat. The lights would turn ON/OFF but still got the icon. Hopefully this is a clue
I rolled out a change to our TEST environment a few days ago and just realized I inadvertently rolled out a setting letting it participate in PROD event processing.
I’m able to roll back the TEST environment change from my phone so all events should start getting processed only in production as expected.
