[Resolved] Hubitat Auth Devices Disappeared

I have a bit of a problem tonight. I added a smart wall switch-went to manage account- did a re-authorization and checked select ALL DEVICES.

All of my devices in SharpTools are now GONE!

I’m trying to re-authorize a Hubitat hub.

All of my devices on my SharpTools dashboard are now placeholders…

Thoughts?

See above. One of the Hubitat hub versions had an authorization bug recently but a fixed version was already released by the Hubitat team.

I thought I was already past that one but I see another update is available. Doing a backup and update now. I’ll let you know what happens.

2.4.2.129 Fixed the problem!

Thanks Josh.

I have also encountered the issue, but it has been fixed with the newest Hubitat v2.4.2.129.

Now I’m experiencing the issue where the icons’ status is not updating, but their actions still work, i.e. I press the curtains icon and the curtains open, but it does not change the status from closed to open.

I have tried de/re-authorizing all the devices. I have even tried removing/re-adding the Sharptools app on the Hubitat side. None of that works. Any idea how I can fix this? TIA.

Have you had a recent power outage? I have two switches that are doing the same thing as you describe. I do not believe it is a sharp tools issue. It is narrowed down to a switch issue not reporting it’s status after the change. You can verify that by opening up the device in hubitat and see if it changes to on or off after you make the change.(Assuming you are using Hubitat). In my case I could turn on the kitchen lights but they would still show as off in hubitat. Changing the driver resolved that briefly, like for four or five hours. Then it went back to not reporting. I’m pretty confident that the recent power outage screwed up two of the wall switches.

I haven’t had any power outage recently. It seems like all of my tiles are not updating the status only on the Sharptools side. The status on the Hubitat side seems to be showing normally.

If the devices get deauthorized or if the app gets fully uninstalled, then the associated event subscriptions stored within the “app” will get removed.

On the SharpTools side of things, a healthcheck is kicked off when you reload the page and one of the things that does is try to add back any event subscriptions that SharpTools thinks you should have but are missing from your “app” installation.

I saw your post over in the Hubitat community and I’ll take a closer look when I’m back from vacation.

Hi Josh,

I want to let you know that I’ve restored a backup of my Hubitat database, and everything is working fine now.

I appreciate you taking your time to take a look and reply while you’re on vacation.

Thanks.
