I haven’t tried it with AutomateIt, so I can’t speak to that side of things, but I use Pushbullet with Tasker (similar to AutomateIt) on other devices and it works great for the intended purpose.
You mentioned in the other thread that you had some difficulty with the Fully Kiosk DTH in the new SmartThings mobile app… I think the developer of the DTH moved over to Hubitat, so they may not be updating the DTH to display properly in the new SmartThings mobile app, but it should still work in custom automation builders like the SharpTools Rule Engine or WebCoRE.
