Presence based rule before sunset, need suggestions please

I would like to create a rule that will turn on certain lights when my presence changes to present before sunset. I also want one to trigger after sunset, since the lights will be different. Since it’s been a while, is this possible with a rule flow or does it require Life360? Thanks

There are several ways to do this. Since I use Sunrise/Sunset for various things, it makes sense for me to use a variable to help with this…

Create a TRUE/FALSE variable $AfterSunrise

Create 2 rules to set $AfterSunrise

RULE 1:

Trigger – Everyday at Sunrise set variable $AfterSunrise to TRUE

RULE 2:

Trigger – Everyday at Sunset set variable $AfterSunrise to FALSE

Now create your rules that you want to turn on lights:
1-
Trigger – [your presence device] updates

Condition – [your presence device] is present

And

$AfterSunrise is TRUE

Action – turn on [these lights]
