Hi, I have an August Lock on my front door. The lock can be controlled via the August app or via the SmartThings app. However, having gotten used to tapping to pay at stores, I would like to use NFC tags to open the door with my iPhone instead of having to open the SmartThings/August App.
I have things working and what I did is expose a rule in sharp tools via a http url that when opened will open my lock. When my phone touches the NFC tag, I open the URL which is stored on my phone.
This seems to work, but I wanted to see if someone has advice on how to do this in a better way so I don’t have to have a public facing URL that can open my front door.
