I have been using the Open Weather tile since its inception. It has been so long that I don’t even remember how to get it running.
I have noted that it no longer updates. I thought maybe it was an API key problem, so I tried with a new one. No luck. I also use open weather to drive some rules, and it is working fine there.
Has anyone else had this issue? Did you resolve it?
What happens? If you open a fresh page with the Open Weather Custom Tile does it load but it’s just showing stale weather values?
Are you explicitly using the Open Weather Custom Tile or something else?
Perhaps some screenshots might help too?
What API configuration are you using with your Open Weather tile? The Open Weather team has been planning the shutdown of their OneCall 2.5 API since early 2024 but it kept getting pushed back. I got an email in March from OpenWeather saying the following:
This is to inform you that One Call API 2.5 support will be closed on March 28, 2025, and any calls to the product after this date will not be successful.
When I tried a newer API Key with the 2-5onecall setting (in the tile settings), I got a pretty clear error:
I decided to just purge it all and start over. It is now working with the latest install.
