Layering of objects

Is it possible to create layers on a dashboard so that objects could sit on top of each other? I have often wanted certain information to only appear when relevant and layer on top of other information.

example. Mailbox opened. Currently I have a tile dedicated to this but it would be more efficient to have this appear as a toast like notification or something similar. Perhaps this is possible now?

You could also try with SuperTiles and with variable icons to change the look of a tile based upon a variable value. You can also change the colours accordingly. Maybe not exactly what you were looking for, but with a bit of tweaking I may get close.
