Not sure if this is just a happenstance, but updated an iPhone 16 to iOS 26 and now when I load my dashboard from my home screen on WiFI, it says “Socket Connecting.” My wife is running the normal version, and for the life of me, I am confused why this is occurring. Hers works on Wifi, mine does not, and just spins and never connects.
Are you using the “Add to Homescreen” approach?
Just brainstorming a bit of troubleshooting steps to help narrow down where the issue might be… have you tried:
- Closing all browser tabs that have SharpTools open in Safari (and swipe away the ‘Add to Homescreen’ version from your app switcher to close it), then try opening SharpTools directly in Safari
- Swipe away the ‘Add to Homescreen’ version from your app switcher to close it, then restart your iPhone, then try opening it again
- You mentioned WiFi, so have you tried (after the above steps) on Cellular instead of Wifi?
Thanks for the troubleshooting. I figured it out. It was a setting in private relay. I changed it back and it worked perfect.
