Loving my Sharp Tools but still having problems linking my Ring Door bell I
have it connected to my smarting’s but doesn’t seem to do anything on my Sharp tools screen.
Unfortunately Ring is a bit of a ‘walled garden’ and doesn’t officially expose their streams except for limited use cases with limited partners like SmartThings. So when the Ring device connected through SmartThings is connected to other platforms like SharpTools, they don’t expose the live streams.
There are some creative approaches the community has come up with which you can find by searching the community here. And I’ve seen some approaches to getting streams with Home Assistant, but unfortunately with Ring not offering open APIs getting access to the feeds can be complex.
