I was thinking, as Smarthings are not going to solve it, why you guys wont do it on your cloud and bring it directly to SharpTools (big differentiator with now Alexa device and upcoming Smarthing control panel device). There is this thing GitHub - asishrs/smartthings-ringalarmv2: SmartThings Ring Alarm Integration v2 that shows how to interact with Ring cloud, but requires some proxy, lamda and pretty cumbersome, if you can do it as one of the platforms you connect directly you will solve a lot of pain to the guys like me who is torn between ring (which became a pretty cool and powerful platform) and Smarthing.
