Fire Tablet + Fully Kiosk Login

About a month ago when AWS went down I lost the control to dim the screen from Hubitat on my Fire tablets. I have 5. They still talk to the Internet and update things like door lock changes. One of my oldest that I didn’t test but failed as well now works.

Did Amazon push some update that broke this?

The day that AWS a couple months ago went down “something” changed on my Fire tablets. I lost local control of them from my Hubitat home automation hub. In my logs I see it now asking for a password.

I have a password configured…and have changed nothing on my Fire Tablets or my Hubitat device setup. I’m mean I did change my Amazon account password post the failure. That is irrelevant …right? This is local LAN to local LAN communications…right?

I still see passwords listed in the couple of places in Fully Kiosk….which still match my device config. They still run Fully Kiosk just fine and I can control Hubitat devices as well…IE Tablet to Internet just fine.

If I understand correctly, it sounds like you have Fully Kiosk Browser installed on the tablets and you have a Fully Kiosk driver installed in Hubitat that lets you interact with the tablets as if they are a smart device.

If so, this question is probably best suited for the Fully Kiosk driver thread in the Hubitat community. If it’s this Fully Kiosk Browser Controller driver, unfortunately it looks like that thread was automatically closed after 365 days of no replies (just 2 days ago)… but you might be able to create a new thread for that driver and see if other Hubitat community members are using it.

And yes, if this is a Fully Kiosk driver, it will be interacting with the local Fully Kiosk API and the password would need to match that set within Fully Kiosk itself. From a quick look, it seems like that would be:

Fully Kiosk > Settings > Remote Administration > Remote Admin Password
