please add the ability to have tiles blink or flash, or do other things besides simply change color on an “active” status. Maybe an animation or other type of visual attention grabber.

Just been looking if a flashing option existed.
A warning tile option sounds like a great feature. E.g. fridge door contact is left open or a door is unlocked, have option to grab attention with flashing icon. I know if you fill a screen with flashing icons it would look ridiculous, but used wisely it could prove useful.
