Door Sensor appears as Wet/Dry Sensor in Sharptools

Anyone any ideas on how to get Sharptools to correctly identify the sensor?

I have tried changing the icon to Open and Closed but it does not change when the Contact stays changes.

It would be nice to show a door open of closed on the dashboard.

Hi @Michael_Horton, can you please take a screenshot of your icon state mapping settings of this sensor’s tile? It should be something like this if it supports contact capability. Thank you.

If the device reports both the Water Sensor and Contact Sensor capabilities, it may be defaulting to the Water Sensor tile layout.

If the tile supports multiple capabilities, you can change the tile layout:

  1. Open the dashboard in question for editing
  2. Tap the ... in the top-right corner of the tile and select Change Layout
  3. Select the Contact Sensor Tile layout if it’s available
  4. Save your dashboard changes

If the Contact Sensor Tile layout isn’t available, can you share more details about the device? What make/model device is it and what driver is being used on your hub?

Thanks for that.

The contact sensor is showing as a Temp Sensor, Presence Sensor, Water Sensor, Contact Sensor and a Motion Sensor.

Looks like it was covering all bets

Working now thank you again.

I just testing another sensor using the same driver, this one detects tilt, movement and acceleration.

I have put it on Sharptools Dashboard as a Motion Sensor.
