I have set up sharptools with ‘VLC thing’ and Smarthings PIR to play a media file with VLC media player when activated. If the PIR is triggered again before the media file has finished playing it restarts the media file.
is there a way to disable a trigger for a set period of time after activation?
I would like the media file to play to completion.
@Steven_Reaper welcome to the community. If you know how long the media file is you can do something like the example screenshot below. I use a variable to determine if the rule should continue with the actions (play medial file for example), and update the variable value accordingly in the flow. Therefore, if the rule is triggered again during the media playing period, it will simply do nothing.
