I feel like I posted about this in the past but can’t find it so not sure that I did. There are a couple of situations that when editing tiles on the dashboard I can’t find out where it came from. Here is an example of a media tile that I am using to display a camera feed. Am I missing something or should be doing something differently?
Actually these tiles are not media tiles. They are custom tiles. Which I guess narrows it down as it seems that only custom tiles don’t display the names?
Just to confirm… are you sure it’s actually a Media Tile being used?
I just double checked and the Media Tile does try to pass the underlying resource name to the Tile Editor.
I just realized the ‘Custom Tile’ is probably one of the only resource-driven tile types which doesn’t seem to pass the name/title to the ‘Tile Editor’.
Per my follow-up post, I was mistaken - it was not the media tile. It is the custom tiles that don’t show their name in the editor.
I just pushed an update which includes the Custom Tile and Super Tile name in the Tile Editor.
(You would need to refresh to pull in the latest update)
Awesome. That will make things much easier then managing dashboards with custom tiles.
