Bug Report: Unusual Rule Editor Behavior on Renamed Things

Two items:

  1. When a Thing is renamed and propagated to SharpTools it does not automatically update the name within the rules. There it still appears with the old name.

  2. When you edit the rule you can see the name of the thing is changed within the picker list but if you select the new name it does not apply it. You have to select a different thing, save it. Then edit it again and select the original thing with the new name.

Hi Gary,
Thanks for reporting the bug. Yes, the device name is saved when the rule is saved, but should be dynamically referenced to avoid the problem like this. I am noting this one as a bug in my list. Thanks.
