‘Glow’ is only available for switches.
This request is to add ‘Glow’ to Style State Customisations > Icon Animation. That would allow us to have a tile icon glow according to it’s state whether that be a contact open, contact closed etc. It would also enable ‘glow’ to be used when a switch is ‘off’ rather than on - perhaps to highlight a device that should always be on.
I’m using css for this but it would be nice to have it as a configuration option. I dont know that it fits in Animation since those seem to be animations that loop but maybe a new Effect category or something like that.
Glow should be added to Hero Attribute Tile, it is a cool effect that looks good on a dashboard and is very informative. Too sad that this is limited to simple tiles out of the box!
@josh any chance of getting this implemented? More than 2 years since it was first requested. I’m sure this will bring much joy to everyone although not many people have taken the time to vote or ask for it, maybe they don’t know that you guys can add such functionality 
Ok - it’s over a year later - I’ve switched my washer’s tile to a Hero now that I’m able to access the washer’s API (and don’t have to cobble together something with the power source and some sensors) - using a hero tile because now I can actually display current status and time left - which I love! Done bunches of statuses - but I really miss the glow in the customization!!! Have settled with a sickly yellow, but it’s not the same!!!

thanks for adding me to the Beta! The icon effects feature is working beautifully for me! I’ve attached an image of glowing washer and dryer! (Dim also works fine!)
