Hubitat: "Network is unreachable" log messages

Have same error messages in my Hubitat logs. Rebooted the hub but without any changes.

(https://Error sending event to SharpTools.io: Connect to events.sharptools.io:443 [events.sharptools.io/172.217.16.211, events.sharptools.io/2a00:1450:4001:806:0:0:0:2013] failed: Network is unreachable (connect failed))

Sometimes I also get a “Error sending event to SharpTools.io: Read timed out” message.

I have absolutely no clue where to start digging.

Hi @Joern_B are you consistently getting these messages? As in none of the events from your hub are being reported to SharpTools? Or is this an intermittent thing?

And was this always the case for you or when did it start?

Where can I check if it gets being reported to SharpTools?
I would call these messages consistently but never found the time to dig deeper into this. I will check the logs.

What I noticed in the logs from today, the IP address changed, is that usual?

If you enable logging within the SharpTools App within your Hubitat Admin UI, the various ‘success’ messages will be logged in Hubitat as well:

Alternatively, if your data is generally updating as expected in SharpTools (even with the logging turned off), then it would indicate that most events are going through. If you were only seeing these error messages with logging enabled, that would indicate that no events were being reported successfully. But if you are either seeing statuses update in SharpTools as expected or have the logging enabled within the app and see success messages, then it would be a partial degradation.

Yes, it’s perfectly normal. Our backend is hosted in Google Cloud Platform which has a variety of IP addresses.
